“Listen to Our Latest Album”
Riddim Roots Collective is a dynamic roots reggae band hailing from the heart of Jamaica, infusing deep, soulful rhythms with a message of unity, love, and social justice. Formed in 2015 by a group of musicians driven by a passion for Rastafarian culture and traditional reggae, the band is known for their rich harmonies, powerful lyrics, and authentic reggae beats that inspire positive change. Their sound echoes the spirit of reggae legends while embracing a modern vibe that connects with audiences across the globe.
Each member is also involved in the community, supporting local initiatives like the One Love Foundation, which provides free music lessons to underprivileged children throughout Jamaica. Despite their international success, the band remains deeply connected to their roots in the Caribbean. Their music is a celebration of island life and Rastafarian culture, blending traditional rhythms with modern influences to create a sound that speaks to the soul. Whether playing for thousands at a festival or an intimate show in Kingston, Riddim Roots Collective brings the same passion, energy, and devotion to every performance. As Riddim Roots Collective continues to grow, their mission remains the same: to use their music as a vehicle for change, unity, and positive vibrations. Their forthcoming album, "One Love Revolution," is set to be released in early 2025. They are already planning a global tour that will spread their message of unity and love across continents. In their own words: “The music may evolve, but the message remains timeless—one love, one people, one world.”
Riddim Roots Collective was born out of a shared vision in 2015 on the sun-kissed shores of Montego Bay, Jamaica. What started as a few jam sessions between friends quickly evolved into something much greater—a collective of musicians with a deep passion for spreading the message of Rastafari, unity, and social justice through roots reggae. The founding members, Jahvin Nyah (lead vocals) and Imani "Mighty" Wright (bass), had long shared a dream of forming a band that honored the legacy of classic reggae while infusing it with modern influences. Jahvin and Imani grew up in the vibrant streets of Kingston, where the sounds of reggae legends like Bob Marley, Burning Spear, and Culture permeated the air. They met as teenagers living locally on the same street. Over the years, they formed a deep friendship, grounded in their mutual love for Rastafarian philosophy and reggae's power to inspire change. Through the years, Riddim Roots Collective has stayed true to their core values—spreading love, equality, and awareness through music. Their lyrics touch on themes of African diaspora, human rights, and environmental sustainability, reflecting the band’s deep commitment to these causes.
